We got out on the water at about 7am this morning and immediately started targeting trout with popping corks and live and artificial shrimp (live target shrimp). As the short trout bite slowed we hooked a few sharks on cut blue crab. It’s always nice to have a few sharks to give a big tug on the line throughout the charter. We then moved on to targeting redfish around docks. We used mud minnows and cut blue crab on Carolina rigs. It didn’t take long for the line to start screaming, and a major battle to get the redfish out of the docks followed. We also picked up some nice flounder on mud minnows around oyster beds and feeder creeks to end the trip. Lots of smiling faces and tight lines today.
